What is the easiest way to transfer vidios that are on Camcorder cassetes to DVD's? - first time vidios

I have some old tapes of about 7-9 years, and we want to play in the situation on my laptop. I know that some stores want to do, but about 50-75 dollars, and trying to find an easier way.
